Introduction to BCHH-C

BCHH-C stands for Board Certified Home Health Coder, issued by the WellSky Credentialing Board (WCB).
 It validates advanced competency in ICD-10-CM coding for Home Health, OASIS-related coding concepts, documentation interpretation, and compliance.

Mission:
 To enhance the competency of home health professionals by establishing a nationally recognized coding credential that represents excellence and accuracy in home health coding.

Technical & Knowledge Requirements

  • Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines
  • Understanding of Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology
  • Foundational understanding of Home Health & regulatory environment
  • Understanding of OASIS Guidance related to ICD-10 coding
  • Strong critical thinking, logic, attention to detail
  • Ability to read & interpret clinical documentation

Recommended Experience

  • 2 years of home health coding experience (recommended, but not mandatory)

  • Format : Multiple-Choice, scenario-based, documentation-based
