Introduction to COQS

The Certified OASIS Quality Specialist (COQS) credential validates high-level mastery of OASIS regulations, item guidance, documentation interpretation, and accurate data application in Home Health.

The certification is governed by the WellSky Credentialing Board (WCB), whose mission is to enhance competency and improve patient care in the home health industry through nationally recognized certifications.

Eligibility Requirements for COQS

Eligibility differs for clinical vs non-clinical candidates.

Clinical Background Candidates

Professionals eligible to complete OASIS:

  • RN – Registered Nurse
  • PT – Physical Therapist
  • OT – Occupational Therapist
  • SLP – Speech Language Pathologist

Recommended Experience

  • At least 1 year of home health experience completing OASIS
  • Strong understanding of home health documentation requirements
